When we were in Sault Ste. Marie, MI for my Grandpa's funeral a few weeks back I was sitting down with my dad's wife who has never been a baby person. She never had kids of her own and was never big on being around babies or being good with babies. As we were sitting there just visiting, I was with my sister and I go, "Hey Kelly... So how do you feel about being called Grandma?" haha. Just to bug her and mess with her. She was very sweet and said that up until she and my dad got married a little over two years ago she would be TOTALLY against anything with the word "Grandma" in any sentence anywhere close to her name... and since they got married she said she felt completely different and that she was actually looking forward to it, but she said she wanted to be called Strega Nona instead of Grandma or Grammy or anything like that. I think it's perfect.
