Happy Saturday

I was working on my sister's quilt for almost 4 hours yesterday and got the quilt topper done.

This morning I woke up at 6:30 to let the dog out and when I came back inside my uncle was already up for the day, so I had to cook him breakfast and stay up and chat with him. I am NOT a morning person and I don't like to talk first thing in the morning. I just like to have my ME time. I cooked him breakfast and Jackie Lee woke up and he had breakfast too and then UJ left to go back home at about 9am. Although it's nice to have family, it's nice to have him on his way home again and to know that all my family is finally back home after all the funerals. My dad and his wife got to Germany safe and sound at 10pm our time, but 5am their time. Ergh. I would NOT enjoy flying overseas.

I can't believe my grandparents are dead. That is a big pill to swallow. It's hard to really wrap my head around. I guess it still hasn't hit me yet.

I worked on Liz's quilt alllll morning again and it's quarter to noon and JL is out working on the truck and I am about to go to Joann's to get some pretty thread to quilt with. I have a bunch of 50% off coupons to use up and since I'm 90% done with her quilt, maybe I'll pick up a new project. I have 2 weeks to finish Jack's cousin's afghan... her baby shower is November 2nd. I should have made a quilt for that baby, it takes less time!

Tonight we're going to clean the carpet in our apartment with a rented carpet cleaner! I'm looking forward to squeaky clean carpet again. Since we cleaned it the dog has spilled chocolate shake on the floor and countless other things. The cat has knocked over my iced tea twice. So it looks pretty dingy again.

Plus it's a REALLY nice day outside :)
