Cake I made for my sweetie on Sweetest day :)

So I made a cake today... I had a little bit of energy and I really wanted to do something sweet for Jack before his parents came this weekend....

So you make a regular box yellow cake like normal and then split it into 6 equal portions in bowls.. I eyeballed it.

Then you add the food coloring:

Mix all 6 colors until you have a complete rainbow:

I somehow missed taking pictures of the next steps... anyway I greased and floured 2 8 inch rounds (if you have 6 you can do them all at the same time, I only had two so I had to do them in shifts) and poured each color in it's own cake pan and baked at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Very carefully I took each cake out of the pan and it dried on the rack. Then I carefully stacked the cakes with icing (homemade) in between each layer.
