I can't believe it! It couldn't have got better. Jack and I both loved the service. Also, in the 9 months we went to Christ The Rock, a church with over 4,000 members never ONCE did anyone reach out to us, ask us about our life and who we are and where we came from and if we'd like to get together... and not for lack of trying on our part. It was near impossible to make friends at that place, seriously, I have zero friends after 9 months of going there, and if you know anything about me, you know I'm extremely friendly. We tried for 9 months to get into a small group of any kind, more specifically young marrieds. We couldn't get in any small group or meet anyone or do anything. I practically had to beg to get to be part of a ministry team, no one wanted any help, it was this elite group and if you weren't cool you didn't get to volunteer type thing.
Before the service even started we had made new friends, been invited to two different small groups and been promised the invitation of new friends. Then the service was fantastic, right on the money, right from the Word of God. Exactly what we needed. Talk about divine intervention!! After the service, our new friends introduced us to 4 more people and this woman asked for my phone number to get us into the young marrieds group, also invited us for a get-together next Saturday and sat and chatted with us for a good twenty minutes.
Holy black and white.
The music wasn't near as good, but when you have 8 different bands that play at Christ the Rock, it's hard to imagine anything better but seriously, I couldn't be happier that we found Calvary. Praise God for this wonderful change. Thank the Lord for us finally feeling welcomed and finally having people be friendly with us after being here for 11 months.

I am so glad to hear that you had such an awesome experience at the new church. Reaching out and connecting with others is a big part of what church should be about. :-)
That is wonderful, Allie! I know how hard it is to find a church that you can call "home!"
I'm glad it went well for you!! It is SO hard trying new churches! :)
