Why am I not tired??

I'm just sitting here. It's 12:11am. Jackie Lee is sleeping in the bedroom.

We went out to dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary on Monday since we are going to a little podunk town in da UP.

Here's our trip:


Mapquest says it will take 5 hours exactly to get there... we will see. 265 miles one way :) I'm hoping that we will leave well before noon tomorrow morning so we have ZERO chance of driving across the UP at night. Deer suck and I would not want to hug one with the front of our jeep. That would make a bad anniversary trip lol.

I made chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting (MIL's recipe... yum) and chili and cornbread all from scratch (well I guess that should go without saying from now on. Just so you know, everything I make is completely from scratch.)



I need to pack our clothes tomorrow morning, pack dog food ... maybe I should do that tonight.
I need to pack cat food, we need to go buy cat litter and get the litter box all ready for a trip and pack the kitty water and food. I also need to pack the cooler with food for the weekend along with ice. *runs to make more ice!*

I should probably rent some movies on iTunes for the drive... hmmmmmmmmm.

So much to do that I probably should have done this week. Ahh well. lol.

That's the beauty of going on vacation... We don't have to be home until Monday night and we are going to enjoy every minute.
