Calm

Sometimes it takes a little while for everything to settle back down.

Jack cleaned our whole bedroom, washed the sheets and the comforter (I think...?) and all the laundry and folded and put it away, bathed the dog, vacuumed, cleaned out the vacuum, organized our shoes.

I know he's sorry and I know he wants to work through this all and so do I, some days just hit me harder than others.


Tonight we had BIL and F-SIL over for dinner. I made chicken and vegetable kabobs and Jack grilled them on our charcoal grill. They were pretty stinking good. Then Jack's aunt and uncle built a bonfire and we all sat outside and watched the fire.


Jack has just gone to bed and I think I am going to follow pretty quick here.
