Mom's visit

My mom's visit is going super well.

I have been working on a quilt with her this whole time and now that I have the whole top pieced I am going to take a break on that one and get working on the picnic quilt that I wanted to give her for mother's day... she is super excited to get to work on something for her, so that's really fun. We had fun designing the way each of the squares would go and how I would finish it and quilt it, so as soon as she wakes up we're going to have some breakfast and then work on the quilt.

I have been sewing for 3 days straight and all my muscles are so sore and my back hurts!

Yesterday after a yummy dinner cooked all on the grill (ribeye steaks, roasted potatoes with onions and garlic and fresh parsley from my garden and grilled asparagus) we went for a walk to take Bessie to go swimming. I have a neighbor who has an 8 month old yellow lab and I walked over to his door wall and knocked and asked him if he wanted to go and he was all for it! So we taught his 8 month old puppy to swim, and it was so much fun. Little Riley was a FAST swimmer too! Bessie is incredibly competitive and Riley was able to keep up with her pretty well, so we were super shocked! Not only did she learn how to swim on the third ball toss, she was fantastic right away! Good times, my mom just laughed and laughed at the puppies.

In other news, my temperature went down yesterday and even more so today and it's way below the cover line so I am sure I am going to start my period. I guess it was nice to know I could O, albiet very weak O, on Clomid. I need to call the obgyn on Tuesday to try to get another perscription called in and ask if they could up the dosage to 100mg.


We might need to take a cycle off for a break and pray that my periods don't go back to the crazy crazy 21+ day periods. Friends tell me that for the cycles after Clomid it kinda shocked their body into doing it the right way so I may O on my own next cycle! Who knows. I think we're going to have to wait a little while to get more Clomid. Stupid freaking lack of money now.


Right now I can hear my mom sawing logs in the other bedroom and Bessie is in there sleeping with her. Awww lol. No wonder Jack and I didn't get woken up this morning, Bessie wasn't in there to whine at us!
