We went to Target tonight when Jack got home from work to pick up a few things. We were out of laundry soap so I decided to take a hack at making it myself. Turns out it is ridiculously simple. I am still in the process of washing my first load, so I will have to wait and see what the verdict is for how clean the clothes come out to see if I would recommend it to others. I will say that I did count on it working because I didn't buy any back up for if it doesn't work.... I just thought of that haha.
Jack is out in the garage trying to fabricate some part for his Jeep. I miss him having fun and working in the garage.
I love my husband. I love him a lot today. Some days I just get this overwhelming feeling of being in love with him. This feeling had been long gone after all the drama we had when we got engaged and that it never stopped in the 5 months between proposal and wedding and just now in the past few months we have regained that spark. I have literally fallen back in love with him and it feels amazing. I can't believe how much I missed this feeling and how hard it was to get it back.
It's hard to remember the feeling of being in love once you've fallen out of love, so you remember this vague warm and fuzzy feeling that you can't put your finger on. It doesn't seem that great so you don't work all that hard to get it back. For a while there even though we were no longer fighting about his parents all the time, I really just didn't feel in love with him any more. We didn't argue or fight but we just were together. Nothing special. Just two people who know each other living together. Sharing the same space.
And now, thankfully God has blessed me again with this feeling of fuzzy and warmth and mushy and melty and dizziness and butterflies again!! I am in LOVE with my husband. Really for the first time since we got married I feel like I am soooooooooooo crazy head over heels about him like I felt when we first started dating. I never want to let this feeling go ever again. I know I loved him all along but I finally have that school girl crush on him again.
I guess I can end all the mushy mushy love stuff!! In other practical life events.... My dad's wife's birthday is coming up in March and I am thinking about doing a sampler quilt for her. Probably just a throw quilt size. Since she got me these awesome books for my birthday ... I thought I might give them a taste of what I've been up to lately. I just need to pick out the colors. I know they like blues and grays but since they live in Germany and I've never been to their house, I truly have no idea what color scheme would go. So I think I am going to do a classic dark blue and ivory. Input would be great :)
I'm thinking I want to do a 9 block quilt.....

This is a quilt block from a quilt that goes at the foot of our bed in our bedroom. I love this quilt, we got it for our wedding and it was made by one of my coworkers in Michigan.
Then I thought... Well, I really like this but I'm not sure it's her style.

There is one extra woman in this picture but I don't know her family well enough to even know the names of all of her sisters, sooooo I'm not sure which one it is. I think I will email my dad to get the names of all 7 of them.
I don't think I'm going to use the red like that but something pretty similar is what I'm thinking. What do you think??
