Just sitting here, up way too early

For some reason I woke up all of a sudden at about quarter after 5 and Jack wasn't in the bed so I called out to him and he was in the bathroom and the dog was out of her cage. As I waited for him to come back the dog refused to get back in her cage so Jack turned the light on and felt around in there to see if she'd gotten sick or had an accident and there was nothing. I guess Bessie just wanted her pillows fluffed because she got right in after he got done rummaging around in there.

I just started reading the Left Behind series. I'm on book 1. I wanted to read it with Jack but I got really into it and didn't want to wait to just read it out loud with him so I guess we're not doing that any more. I wish Jack would like to just sit for hours and listen to the book being read to him but I'm sure that's not what he wants to do, soooooo I will just read it on my own and hope that one day he reads it!

I really like book 1 so far, I'm to chapter 8 or 9 I think. I had to stop so many times and just sit there and cry and pray for all the people who have not come to know Jesus as their savior. It is my solemn prayer that not ONE person is left behind when Jesus comes back. That when Jesus comes that all know him and love him and have already asked him into their hearts!

The weather the last few days has been crazy!! On Saturday it was 45 and sunny so we went up to the state park with the dog and hiked through the woods. That was super fun and I definitely want to make a habit of doing that on the weekends or even during the week on nice days. This spring/summer/fall I resolve to be outside more!! Last year I was pretty depressed from being so far away from home and not having any friends that I didn't even want to go outside and do anything, this year will not be like that!! I will go outside and Jack and I will enjoy each other.

On Sunday we got up early and went down to N. Fond Du Lac to spend the day with my aunt and uncle. Pete made us breakfast (YUM, he always makes the works - Finnish Pancakes, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, biscuit gravy, toast, eggs, juice) and then we went to the local Non-Denominational Christian church called Community Church.

I tell you what, God NEVER ceases to amaze me! He is amazing!! Every time Jack and I are really struggling with something, especially his parents/family with that stinkin car issue again, God finds us where we are and ministers to us. At this Community Church the service was about Matthew 18 - If your brother sins against you - What do you do? Next week is what to do if the three options of dealing with a situation don't work and Jack wants to go back down to Fond Du Lac to hear the rest of it and I'm sure not arguing. Maybe Dottie and Pete will want to go with us again!

On Monday a friend of a friend came over with her 6 1/2 month old daughter and I was helping her make a quilt for her daughter. It turned out super cute if you ask me. She got this Mother Goose fabric from Joann's. When it was all put together, I quilted a big goose on it with the top hat and rosy cheek and a little baby goose swimming next to it along with waves and clouds and a shining sun.... buuuuuuut the pattern on the front and back of the fabric are too busy and after the lines from the fabric marking pencil wash away, I don't think you'll be able to tell I took all that time to hand quilt something so cutesy on it. Lesson learned... on busy fabric, just do normal quilting in rows or whatever.

Yesterday was a boring day... again fabulous weather! I took Bessie for a long jog/walk and she got all muddy so when we got back the little bugger had to have a bath. I finished the baby quilt for baby Breelyn and went to Joann's and bought binding because I didn't have enough fabric left over. I got the binding sewn on and took out all the safety pins. All I have left is the name tag and Then I'm done :P

I'm not sure what I am going to do today. I have all of my fat quarters for the quilt for our bed still sitting on the guest bed all pressed and laying there. I have no idea how to cut them or sew them together to come up with a masterpiece... so they're just sitting there! I have lots of ideas and I just can't seem to get started.

I would like to make a quilt for my mom for her 50th birthday but that's in 11 days... no way no how not gonna happen. I wish I had more inspiration for these kinds of projects but for some reason I want to do things and I just can NOT come up with anything. Maybe it's because I just finished all the Christmas projects? I have no idea.

Anyway now that I've been up for an hour I'm starting to feel sleepy again. Jack is up and in the shower. I am chilled to the bone and sitting here with the fireplace on and an afghan on me and I am still not warmed up. I guess I could crawl back in bed!

I wish I could find my camera so I could take pictures of things!!
