While I sit here and wait for the Drano to work it's magic in my shower (yeah, I decided at midnight to put some drano in my shower... what's it to ya?) I decided to write about what I'm thankful for. I've been dealing with far too much negativity lately so let's count my blessings!
- I have the most wonderful caring and gentle husband anyone could ask for. I love his hands, the way he walks, the way he hugs me, the way he picks things up, the way he doesn't pick up things, I just love his way and his heart. He is a good man and I pray that not one day goes by that I forget what a wonderful man I married!
- I'm not sick any more!! A cold kicked my tush for a few days there but today was the first day that I could take a deep breath in and not hack up a lung.
- Speaking of deep breaths, I went for a long hike with Miranda, Scott, Keegan and Candace with our pups, Bessie, Angel and Zoe. It was a beautiful day and perfect for a big hike and the state park and Bessie was super well behaved!! I was so proud!
- My house is (mostly) clean! I've been really concentrating on keeping up with it. I am super proud of myself about the dishes that I did today too, they had gone a few days and Jack was about to do them last night and I told him not to worry and that I'd do it today. But of course I gave myself NO time to do the dishes before I had to go meet Miranda for this bike aforementioned hike... so I turned on Christian Family Radio, set the sleep timer for 20 minutes on my stereo and told myself I was going to get as much of the kitchen cleaned as I could in that 20 minutes. SUCCESS! :)
- Jack lost his phone yesterday... his brand new couple hundred dollar phone... along with his $40 4gb memory card and countless videos and pictures that are priceless... and we spent the better part of last night and this morning searching high and low and retracing all our steps on the walk we went on with Brewer and Bessie last night... no avail! As I was driving home from this big hike today, I got a call from the apartment complex. Apparently the text I had sent to Jack's phone "If you find this phone, please call XXX-XXXX" worked!! Someone turned it in and the apt manager called me and told me she found a phone! I went and picked it up! I asked who turned it in and she told me she couldn't say, so I said okay, well... give them a huge thank you for me!! What a relief!!!
- Jack and I got to go for a long motorcycle ride in this wonderful weather! We rode down to Oshkosh and ate dinner at Ardy & Ed's and then rode back. What a perfect clear night. It was quite windy, but that's okay it was still a great ride. And I found an apartment complex that I would like to call tomorrow to check out since our lease is up in no time! It's much closer to Jack's work.
- We get to sleep in tomorrow! Hallelujah! I love it when Jack and I get to spend the morning in bed. Hopefully Bessie lets us both get some much needed sleeping in time :)
- Did I mention how much I love my husband?
