back from the doctor update!

So... Jack and I went in, only had to wait like 2 minutes (and we were early) so that was awesome, I love a doctors office that actually sticks with appointment times as best they can.

The doctor was awesome, she said so far all of my tests that have come back have been in normal range. The one test that came back from yesterday was the glucose test and since that came back normal she doesn't think I'm pre-diabetic so she didn't prescribe the metformin.

She said that her gut feeling is saying that a hysteroscopy is unnecessary right now and that it is invasive and expensive and she doesn't think the polyp with where it is positioned is going to cause problems with a potential pregnancy, or that it would hinder implantation in any way.

She prescribed a nuvaring (the birth control I was on before) to get control of my bleeding and to take it and if my period doesn't stop within 5 days to call back and she'll prescribe a stronger birth control and get my period to stop, and then I will stay on birth control for 3 weeks and have a period and on day 2 of my period I start taking clomid!

She recommended a SA but said it wasn't required. We agreed that it would be a good idea, so we got the sample cup and we are going to schedule the appointment. We have to wait a few days because she said the earliest after ejaculation would be 2 days and the longest could be 7 days and it's been like 10 since we've had sex so we'll have to get busy or he will today and then in 2 days we can go deliver a sample. I am super proud of Jack because he was not the least bit shy about having it done and he didn't feel weird about talking to the female nurse or doctor about past history or anything. I kept telling him afterwards how proud I was of him and that on some forums I'm on, the men make the women wait a few YEARS sometimes without getting tested.

She said if I don't ovulate on 50mg of Clomid that we will bump it up to 100mg and see if that works, and that if the clomid doesn't work by itself we will go to an IUI and go ahead with the hysteroscopy to make sure there is nothing in the way of a pregnancy.

I was so impressed with her detailed plan of if this doesn't work then this, if that doesn't work then this, if that and that doesn't work then this. I am super super happy and I even thanked her for having everything done so incredibly quickly and how kind and helpful and friendly her and all of her staff is.

So, I put the nuvaring in when we got home from the doctor and now I'm just waiting for my period to stop :) :)

I told jack to be prepared for the wrath of clomid :P

Thank God things are finally moving, I couldn't be more excited at this point!!
